Surface Grinders
!
Surface Grinders are required to
setup
and work to detail prints
. Must have own tools
!
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- The work may require interpreting specifications, blueprints, manufacturers' manuals, sketches or similar documents
- File, grind, shim and adjust different parts to properly fit them together
- Verify dimensions, alignments and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers and dial indicators
- Measure, mark and scribe metal or plastic stock to lay out machining, using instruments such as protractors, micrometers, scribes
Education, Experience, Training and/or Skills Required:
- Experience operating any of the following Surface Grinders, ID/OD grinders, Wet Grinder
- The candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- High school or equivalent
- Basic Computer skills
