Sales Engineer, $60,000/yr plus commission - Texas

Responsibilities:
- Identifying new sales opportunities primarily within the Construction Industry by researching and qualifying new leads through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
- Travel to customer sites to assist in service assessments, solution or service product development.
- Gains competitive market analysis information and helps develop sales and marketing strategies for specific market sectors with continuous elaboration of competitor and market information.
- Utilizes a “local market” approach to understand customers' fastening application needs and identifying sales opportunities.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships up and down the decision chain including end user, specifier, and distributor.
- Prepare technical proposals such as drawings, presentations, case studies.
- Maintain relationships with internal product managers to understand current and future states of technology.
- Become familiar with the global team and apply best practices, benchmarking or other tools to grow the USA market.
- Explaining and demonstrating features of products and services, both virtually and in a laboratory. Must continue s taying informed about competing products and services.
- Answering potential customers' questions and sending additional information per email.
- Achieve annual sales quotas.
- Must be comfortable working remote
- Perform other dues as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Engineering or related field
- 3 – 5 years sales experience related to the construction industry. Early in career candidates may have this requirement waved.
- Demonstrate ability and interest to learn technical knowledge as it applies to the construction industry and joining technologies.
- Familiar with construction systems such as Industrial lightweight building applications (roofing) building envelopes, rainscreen, insulation, solar products etc.
- Experience working with OEM’s, Distributors, Specifiers, and sub-component suppliers.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiar with using virtual tools to market, develop, communicate with, and train potential customers.
Ready for a day in the life of a Sales Engineer:
You will be working Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. Your main responsibilities will be
to build up a book of business and bring in new customers in the construction industry.
