Strategic Management
:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize manufacturing operations.

Operational Oversight

- Work with the Engineering & Maintenance Manager to ensure machine readiness and efficiency.
- Develop solutions to address and prevent quality issues.
Responsibilities:
- Production Management
:
- Oversee daily operations of the CNC machine facility, including milling, turning, and grinding processes.
- Ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of production schedules.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve production goals and maintain high output quality.
- Team Leadership
:
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of skilled machinists and technicians.
- Manage training programs to ensure employees stay updated on best practices and technologies.
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Quality Assurance
:
- Ensure all parts meet stringent tolerance and quality standards.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to identify and resolve defects or process inefficiencies.
- Process Optimization
:
- Evaluate and enhance CNC processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement and monitor KPIs for productivity, downtime, and waste reduction.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration
:
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, and customer service teams to align production goals with broader organizational objectives.
- Contribute to new product development and prototype manufacturing processes.
- Compliance and Maintenance
:
- Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Oversee maintenance schedules for multi-axis CNC machinery to minimize downtime.

- Collaborate with the President to develop strategic plans, objectives, and continuous improvement initiatives that position the facility at the forefront of best practices.
- Regularly produce structured, data-driven reports summarizing KPIs, operational challenges, and business opportunities for Board meetings and senior leadership.
- Champion the execution of the organizational roadmap and contribute to achieving KPIs beyond direct responsibilities.
Team Management and Development:
- Foster a culture of safety, respect, teamwork, and resilience, prioritizing employee welfare and performance.
- Conduct regular appraisals with supervisory staff, ensuring their alignment with continuous development goals for all employees.
- Perform skills assessments and implement succession plans to address skills gaps proactively.
- Recruit high-caliber talent with appropriate technical expertise to meet production demands.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to build a high-performing team.
Operational Excellence:
- Develop and implement cost-effective operational strategies and lean manufacturing principles.

Data and Reporting:
- Analyze production data, generate actionable insights, and present recommendations for operational improvements.
- Prepare regular updates on productivity, efficiency, and challenges for UK-based senior leadership.
