Job Summary:
Workbox Staffing is hiring Automatics Technicians to work with a company that produces fabricated metal products. As an Automatics Technician, you will safely set up and operate automatic (Acme/Davenport) equipment, manufacture parts at the required production rate, and inspect parts using various measuring techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities to prevent breakdowns and reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
- Repair and replace defective parts in machinery, motors, pumps, and other equipment.
- Perform equipment inspections and tests to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems, including setup and calibration.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment conditions.
- Work with the production team to prioritize maintenance schedules and minimize production interruptions.
- Ensure that all work adheres to safety protocols, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Respond quickly to urgent maintenance requests during production shifts.
- Support in troubleshooting electrical issues and assisting with plant upgrades.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Key Qualifications for Automatics Maintenance Technician:
- 5-7 years of experience setting up Acmes or Davenports
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferable but not required)

- 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including motors, gears, bearings, and pumps.
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, including motors and control panels.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and a team player mindset
- Strong commitment to quality work
Preferred Skills for Automatics Technician:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Computer literacy (proficiency is a plus)
