Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including forklift trucks, semis, trailers, and loaders, to ensure they are in good working condition.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance checks on heavy equipment
- Inspect, diagnose, and fix malfunctions through observation
- Repair broken or faulty parts as needed
- Maintain service logs and records of maintenance on equipment
- Keep tools, equipment, and work area clean, organized, and in good working condition
- Other duties as assigned
Key Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude necessary
- Comfortability with hand and pneumatic tools
- Ability to follow directions
- Willingness to learn
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of some mechanics (WILLING TO TRAIN)
- Experience with routine maintenance tasks such as changing headlights, oil changes, swapping/fixing hydraulic cylinders, hoses, tires, brakes, wheel bearings, etc.
