Façade Engineer,
up to $70,000/yr - Wixom, MI

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design, engineering and documentation, provide specialist input, resolve technical problems and ensure quality of products and services on projects.
- Assist the teams with façade project implementation aspects such as but not limited to site review/inspection/testing, reports preparation, design criteria as per contract documents and performance specifications etc.
- Managing the design of projects technically, and must be able to understand the best facade solutions
- Review cladding contractor technical submissions and attend contractor workshops if necessary.
- Responsible for day-to-day requests either from the team or clients to meet project expectations such as writing letters and/or reports. This can also include preparing facade sketch details and drawings, and design systems based on the environmental aspects of facade design
- Perform structural and thermal design and analysis calculations
- Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare façade engineering design documents
- Conduct necessary testing as per project requirements and research design options.
- Arrange and participate in marketing activities of the company, like seminars, exhibitions, conferences etc.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil or Mechanical) or related field.
- Experience on the building façade and application market in the USA
- Familiar with approvals such as Miami-Dade, ICC, FM and others would be an asset but not necessary.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, structural analysis software or similar engineering software.
- The ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers.
- Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
- Good leadership and team working skills.
- Willingness to enhance knowledge of how to improve product quality.
- Willing to work under pressure to meet the task deadline.
- Understanding the fastener market is an asset.

designing, engineering and documenting, providing specialist input,
