Job Summary
Workbox Staffing is looking for Crate Builders! Crate Builders will be responsible for constructing wooden crates to securely package and protect products for shipment. This role requires proficiency in carpentry, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards to ensure the safe transport of goods.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and assemble wooden components to build crates of various sizes.
- Utilize hand and power tools, such as saws, drills, and nail guns, to construct crates.
- Ensure crates meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Select appropriate materials for crate construction based on product requirements.
- Maintain an organized inventory of crate-building materials.
Key Qualifications
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for carpentry tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.
- Experience reading and utilizing precision measurement equipment
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 60 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in carpentry.
- Previous work experience in woodwork, carpentry, or fabrication.
- Previous experience safely operating a forklift.
