Construction Project Manager, up to $85,000/yr - Auburn Hills, MI

We are looking for a Construction Project Manager to oversee restoration projects and general contractors to ensure their work is high-quality, finished efficiently, and within the predetermined budget. Qualifications
- Respond to property damage emergency calls when required
- Clarify the scope with clients, engineers, and architects to produce an accurate list of project specifications, including manual labor needs and necessary materials
- Oversee the work of all subcontractors and skilled laborers and guide them as necessary to ensure high-quality work
- Calculate the budget for all project tasks and accurately manage the budget
- Communicate the status of the project to key stakeholders by providing regular progress reports
- Issue purchase orders for subcontractor work
- Participate in a rotational on-call schedule
Skills
- Must live within 50 miles of Auburn Hills, Michigan to be considered for this position
- 3-5 years experience as a construction project manager, preferably in the restoration/construction industry
- Possess a deep understanding of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building codes, blueprints, permits, construction equipment, material resources, project management principles, and construction methods
- Excellent time-management, organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Knowledge of Xactimate and project management software
A day in the life at this company for this position consists of showing up and working 7am-4:30pm, M-F, and must also be available to work on call rotational schedule. In this position, you’d be mainly responsible for
overseeing construction and restoration projects to make sure they get done on time and efficiently.
