Composite Technician
, $17/hr - Roseville, MI
We are seeking composite technicians to work for a leading automotive and aerospace manufacturer! If you feel you fit the bill, this is the place for you!
Responsibilities:
- Identify and verify proper parts and lot number for job.
- Set up a check and/or drill fixture.
- Operate the following tools for grinding and cutting as needed: cut-off wheel, die grinder, orbital sander, drill, band saw, drill press, pedestal grinder, pencil grinder, riveter and riv nut gun..
- Sand part into tolerance, verifying periodically in check fixture.
- Drill parts as needed.
- Assemble additional hardware to parts as needed.
- Clean parts.
- Label, count and package parts.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with grinding and cutting tools required
- Must have ability to drill and sand, saw, grind and rivet parts, etc.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
A day in the life at this company for this position consists of showing up and working 6am-2:30pm, Mon-Fri. In this position, you’d be mainly responsible for
prepping and assembly of carbon fiber components.
