Job Summary
Join a local manufacturing company specializing in heavy equipment parts, dies, and molds! As a Blanchard Grinder Operator, you will set up, adjust, and operate a rotary wheel Blanchard grinder to grind flat or irregular steel plate surfaces. This position offers a great work-life balance with a 4-day work week.
Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and operate a Blanchard grinder
- Select, change, and dress grinding wheels for flat grinding
- Read micrometers, scales, and indicators to make precise adjustments
- Lift and handle steel plates up to 50 lbs repetitively
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of machinery
Key Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in Blanchard grinding or the Tool and Die trade preferred (but not required)
- General understanding of machinery
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills
- Ability to be trained and adapt to the role
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
