Responsibilities:
- Carrying out customer advice for external customers (e.g. craftsmen, distributors, roofers, manufacturers of building products, statics, planning and architectural offices, authorities and building authorities, experts, standard and guideline committees)
- Testing of the possible uses of the products with regard to construction and structural conditions in connection with legal regulations, standards and guidelines.
- Support and advice for difficult constructions in the context of project planning and implementation. Recognizing and solving technical problems during project execution.
- Creation of static preliminary measurements in the area of the product segments.
- Carrying out the complaints processing and the associated technical support and advice.
- Creation of training content and processes in accordance with technical developments and operational requirements and implementation of the training.
- Participation in the development of components for customer-specific requirements. Initiation and implementation of further developments of existing products.
- Planning and implementation of tests, investigations, individual tests and test series.
- Recording and monitoring of complaints and processing of critical damage cases and carrying out key analysis.
- Participation in the conception and further optimization of the quality strategy. Initiating and implementing relevant measures.
- Maintenance and further development of the management systems, taking into account approval, market and customer requirements in cooperation with specialist functions and central QM. Monitoring the effectiveness of measures and compliance with quality goals.
- Further development and definition of the incoming goods inspection processes.
- Carrying out regular reporting
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil or Mechanical) or related field.
- Experience in quality audits, properties testing, writing technical reports and interacting with customer on day-to-day technical requests.
- Familiar with approvals such as Miami-Dade, ICC, FM and others would be an asset but not necessary.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, structural analysis software or similar engineering software.
- T he ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers.
- Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
- Good leadership and team working skills.
- Willingness to enhance knowledge of how to improve product quality.
- Willing to work under pressure to meet the task deadline.
- Understanding the fastener market is an asset.
Ready for a day in the life of an Application & Quality Engineer:
You will be working Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm. Your main responsibilities will be using your technical knowledge and skill to develop applications in the construction market for a fastening system manufacturer and develop and maintain the quality of the product.
