“Friday Beer Blogs: Leinenkugel’s Creamy Dark”

08.03.18 | Company Culture

Intro: Welcome back to Friday Beer Blogs! To coax out the ever elusive weekend, we’re sipping a beer from that state that only thinks they look like a mitten (I think Michigan pretty much has that one in the bag, sorry). This week we’re enjoying a Wisconsin classic, no not cheese, Leinenkugel’s Creamy Dark Lager. Apply For Jobs at Workbox Staffing

Our Review: We trust to anything lumberjacks put their seal of approval on; Leinenkugel’s happens to be one of those things. It does make sense that you’d want one of their tasty brews, like the Creamy Dark Lager, after chopping down trees and breaking hearts all day (we see you lumbersexuals). Not surprisingly, this beer is award winning; just like that prized pig you’ll see at the Wisconsin State Fair this year.

Why We Like It: This creamy beer takes us through the scenic river flow of the Chippewa River. Warm sunshine, canoe, fishing line and if we’re lucky just maybe have a fish fry for dinner tonight! Chippewa Falls is home to many beautiful meadows, agricultural communities, and where this gem of a beer was founded. This creamy delight isn’t shy to winning which, explains why it’s super easy to love! Creamy Dark leaves a rich nutty coco flavored after taste that just makes us want kick back and enjoy the breeze!

Why We Don’t Like It: Creamy Dark is equivalent to going over to your grandma’s for dinner: although you really enjoy all of the great flavors, you can’t have more than one without feeling like you’re going to explode. It’s so filling that drinking this dessert-ish beer may also make consumers pass up grandma’s homemade apple pie, and that’s just not right.

Pairs Well With: A Tinder date who like a lumberjack, thinking about updating your resume (you definitely should), looking for the back of your earring in the grass, brushing up your phone interview skills, and mentally preparing for the fact that Christmas is in 144 days!
