Our Review: When not crafting Golden Ale, the folks at Kona Brewing can be found living out the “Aloha” way of life. We tried to channel that island lifestyle as we sipped this tropical brew. Upon cracking open this ale, we immediately felt the warm breeze of the Hawaiian Islands. We were transported to big sandy beaches with even bigger waves and beautiful tropical foliage…until we opened our eyes and realized that we were still in our office and that the “breeze” was just a fan.

Why We Like It: You better cancel your plans because there are some gnarly big waves this afternoon full of good vibes! After you crack open a Golden Ale, there is an abundance of refreshment that’ll make you want to hang ten. The cowabunga moment we just experienced in the office is pretty much equivalent to unplugging your brain this weekend an enjoying that extra day off of work this Labor Day! < br>< br>

Why We Don’t Like It: Unlike Experiment 626 (holla at you Disney fans), this beer wasn’t complex and felt a tad underwhelming. Like if you took a trip to Hawaii but never left the airport. If you want a real Hawaiian adventure, don’t get off your surfboard for this one. This beer reminded us more of a cheap Hawaiian shirt than the Big Island itself.

Pairs Well With: Re-watching Lilo & Stitch, Networking, embracing the aloha lifestyle deciding which boogie board design best compliments your bathing suit, looking at flights to Hawaii, organizing last years invoices, checking your bank account to see if you can afford that flight to Hawaii, applying for a new job so you can afford that trip to Hawaii.
